Beginning anything involves a certain amount of risk and enough reflection. There will be a new body of work coming soon. It asks a few fundamental questions about the nature and ownership of aesthetics. Our disorganized and discordant beginnings are often reformed and tailored to fit a singular story line for the ease of history and conscience. As an artist I am concerned with how we as a society and a nation have come to view ourselves through the lens of aesthetic history and how these glasses are shaping what we are willing to take a risk on.
