I am teaching a class this summer on using the flatbed offset proof press as a drawing tool, at the Frans Masereel Center in Kasterlee, Belgium. The center has an amazing printmaking set up for artists working in most print media. My class will utilize lithography, silkscreen, relief printmaking and monotype techniques in combination with one another. Head to their website for more details http://www.fransmasereelcentrum.be/

Tempter of Man is new image that will be exhibited along with several others in the exhibition of my work:

Working on the Black Nun- Photo Chris Porcarelli

Back from Penland and more photos to come. Got a few things done despite my students efforts to keep me focused on their work. Great bunch of kids (not really kids but they will always be my little ducks) Special thanks to Chris Porcarelli for helping me get the Nuns made. Without him I would never have gotten it done and they rock. Photos to come once they arrive via UPS.

Spring at Penland

I am teaching an eight week concentration at the Penland School of Craft right now and it is hard to believe with all the beautiful weather that just three weeks ago we had this snow fall. The students are working hard and making great work. I'll be posting shots from their next exhibition in a week or so.

Visiting artist Steve Johnson gave the best drawing demonstrations I have ever seen and all of us were greatful. Using a weight belt and come-along straps Steve made it possible for the model to hold very difficult poses.

More to come. I'll be posting some shots of the slip cast sculpture I am working on, Gunwale I, along with the work as it devlopes for my upcoming exhibition, Taste of Ashes, at Frans Masereel Centorum this summer.
